Museum Night: Korean
Cultural Center Opens Overnight

The Argentina Korean Cultural Center opened the center overnight on Oct. 30 in conjunction with the La Noche de Los Museos (Museum Night) hosted by the City of Buenos Aires. It also hosted several participative events. A total of 2,400 visitors stopped by, largely younger people with their usual interest in Korean culture.
For this event, in addition to its special and permanent exhibitions, the Korean Cultural Center prepared attractions and experience programs such as Korean history and exhibition videos, writing names in Korean and events related to the enactment of National Kimchi Day.

KOCIS¡¯ 50th Anniversary Celebration

To celebrate KOCIS¡¯ 50th anniversary, I ordered a DIY cake decoration kit from a store in my town. Once it arrived, I started decorating it with my daughter. We had lots of fun, especially when we drew the KOCIS mascot Kocnuni as it turned out rather cute.
Also, I participated in a Kocnuni illustration contest, which ended on Dec. 17. Since we could submit more than one work, I submitted three. Many beautiful renditions of Kocnuni have been submitted not only by Ko-reans but also others from around the world.
