Taekwondo Class for Children
The Korean Cultural Center in France hosted a Taekwondo class this October with Master Jung Woo-min, who was dispatched from the Kukkiwon, one of Korea¡¯s leading centers of Taekwondo.
France is currently home to 900 Taekwondo clubs and 50,000 trainees. Some 60% of the trainees are under the age of 18, suggesting that young Taekwondo trainees outnumber adults. The Korean Culture Center in France hopes the Taekwondo class will draw even more French children to not only Taekwondo, but also to Korean culture more broadly.
