Thanks to its four distinct seasons, Korea has an abundance of seasonal ingredients such as many kinds of vegetables, and fishes. Korean cuisine usually consists of steamed rice and soup, the main staples, and side dishes including kimchi and jeotgal (fermented seafood). The soup is made from vegetables, fish and meat.
